the warifier
here is the baby monkey happy with what appears to be a pacifier:

however, material wealth inevitably corrupts happiness and destroys peace. the young monkey leaves the protection of the older monkeys and is immediately accosted by a teenage monkey. the so-called pacifier has revealed its true nature.
another teenage gets interested, and a three-way fight ensues.
(they are scuffling on the surface of a wooden box holding monkey park supplies.)
one of the teenage monkeys scores the treasure and runs off with it. the other teenage monkey engages in some consolatory grooming with the baby monkey.
baby monkey still misses his object.
teenage monkey and baby monkey charge! they dive for other-teenage-monkey, but other-teenage-monkey is too fast for them, and leaps over both of their heads.

the battle resumes on the main platform... baby monkey and teenage monkey gang up to push other-teenage-monkey off the platform.
other-teenage-monkey is mad.

yay monkey! good story - i was on the edge of my seat waiting to see who would end up with the warifier.
it's kinda cheating, though, taking pictures at the monkey onsen... it's hard to take a bad picture of a monkey who is sitting two feet away from you.
