starting early
the monkey with the ribbon on his head is John-John. azuremonkey gave him to me and ever since he came home he hasn't been more than five feet from the bar.

he's hanging from the typhoon fifth of sake that Uncle Butch gave us, but we won't let him open it. around his neck is the cross-stitched christmas ornament given to me by my sister, who comments sometimes on these blogs as "blizzard". she said she gave it to me because of Emmanuelle.

John-John looks quite at home and very happy there. I was afraid he would seem out of place, but THE BAR! I should have known.
He looks comfy for certain, but I think he wants me to borrow that sign for a bit. Promise to return it...
I think the monkey wants me to borrow the bottle of whisky and throw in the sake for good measure.
i love the monkey!!
you know, i'm not sure i've ever noticed that maker's mark spells "whiskey" without the "e"
maybe i'm spelling it wrong
