The monkey watcher came strolling up the path to his post. The monkey you see sitting next to him in these shots (an older adult male monkey) met him at the bridge and walked after him. The monkey watcher sat down on the bench, the monkey sat down next to him. It very much seemed as if they did that every day. Later, the woman, a tourist, crouched down to look, and the other monkey walked up and took up the pose next to her that you see in the photo.

That third one is amazing. Are the people sitting like monkeys, or are the monkeys mimicking the people?
Yeah, I'd probably let go of the stick if that lady started grabbing it and smacking at my hand.
