gods who are not being tortured to death
one nice thing about shrines and such in Japan is that the local deities aren't usually in states of torture and dismemberment like you get in some other countries I might mention.

Ah, so true. I just scrolled through your pictures, they are amazing!
yeah, it's just that contemplating people getting dismbowled is really kinda...
